What comes with your DJ booking?
Sound, lighting & setup
A sound system and basic party lighting, with equipment setup and pack-down included. Tell us your guest numbers and venue so we can confirm the equipment and layout in your quote.
Delivery is quoted for the actual location and schedule. An inflatable nightclub, styling, special effects, ceremony audio or formal MC service is included only when separately agreed in your quote.
Birthdays, 18ths, 21sts & private parties
Planning an 18th or 21st in Brisbane? Give the DJ your favourite music and the moments you want to plan around, from guest arrivals to a birthday speech and the dance-floor finish. For a backyard party, include the available space, power access and the time music needs to finish.
You can enquire about DJ hire on its own, or add a DJ to a Cove inflatable nightclub booking. The nightclub with a four-hour DJ set starts from $1,450 plus delivery, including upgraded sound, party lighting, a smoke machine where permitted, setup and pack-down. Extra DJ hours are $200 per hour when agreed. Our backyard birthday guide helps with the wider layout.
Brisbane venues, delivery & event timing
We welcome enquiries across Brisbane, including the inner city, Northside and Southside. Start with the actual event suburb rather than a broad service area. For a function room, rooftop, hall or apartment venue, mention stairs, lifts, loading access, parking and supplier arrival times.
Cove Events is based in the Noosa area and also takes enquiries for the Sunshine Coast and surrounding South East Queensland. DJ availability, transport and the complete price are assessed for each event.
Before booking, check your venue’s amplified-music rules, sound limits, power and supplier access. For an outdoor event, discuss suitable cover and a weather backup. The agreed setup must protect the equipment and leave safe access for guests.
Wedding & corporate DJ enquiries
For a wedding reception, work celebration or corporate function, send the event run sheet as well as the playing times. Tell us about speeches, formal introductions and any music cues. We confirm a suitable DJ and the scope before accepting the booking.
Do not assume ceremony sound, a dedicated MC, microphones in several rooms or larger production are part of a basic DJ booking. Tell us what you need so the quote can list each service clearly.
How to book your DJ
- Send your date and suburb. Add the venue, playing times, event type and guest estimate to the service details in our enquiry form.
- Share the music and setup brief. Tell us what you want played, any formalities and the venue’s access or sound restrictions.
- Check your written quote. We confirm DJ availability, equipment, performance hours, delivery and the total before you book. An enquiry does not reserve the date.
